The Washington DC Pro-Duffers Foundation and The Carter Foundation:
Created a $100,000 scholarship fund for the PGA Golf Management program at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, the only HBCU in the country offering this program. This 5 year commit was create to engage and encourage minorities into golf management and to grow the game of golf.
The scholarship is designed to support PGA Golf Management Students from underrepresented demographic areas.
Background:
The Washington DC Pro-Duffers is one of the countries oldest black golf groups in the country. Established in 1954 in Washington, DC. The foundation is funded by its local members.
